Greetings all --

New to the program. A question that I am sure there is a very simple answer to.

In order to conserve space, all of my DVDs are out of their boxes and stored in paper sleeves in those long storage boxes specifically made for that purpose.  So we'll say there is a Box 1, Box 2, Box 3...

So, as I am entering DVD in order to track their location, I can see where I would fill in the Location field under the Personal Information tab.

How do I then filter the display if I only want to see Box 1 or Box 5?

Thanks in advance!

Hi

I would have used Tags.
Create Tags like:
Box 01
Box 02
Box 03

I know you can filter them...

There is no way to filter this directly. But don't despair, there are always ways around:

- Tags: as Knasen69 already pointed out you could assign Tags and filter on those.
- Column: right-click anywhere in the collection-list and choose "View Columns -> Disc Locations". Now you can sort by clicking on the column-header.
- DatabaseQuery: In the Plugin-Sektion, download DatabaseQuery which can filter on Location and Slot.

Thank you!
This was very helpful.  I like the database query plug in.

I hope that in future versions they can add some of this functionality without the need for plugins.
