Hi,

went to add scanner and did not see any scanners listed.  uninstalled and reinstalled all in one mfc-7840w brother scanner, so i know it's there.  still don't see listed in program under dvd/edit cover images/file/select scanner.

any ideas?

Do your other programs recognize the scanner?  Is the scanner on?

Glad you got it sorted. 

I don't have one, but several people have posted here that "cuecats" work just fine and they tend to be cheap on e-bay.  Any barcode scanner that simulates keyboard entry is supposed to work as well.
