| Posted: | | | | Recently, Paramount has been celebrating their 100-year Anniversary by releasing Blu-ray movies, some with alternate front/back covers and different UPC codes than previous releases.
An example I of this have is The Hunt for Red October Blu-ray. The front and back covers of the new release have a new image layout that differs from the previous release. A new UPC code sticker on the outer wrap is placed over the original UPC code on the back cover, with a different code (032429-115751), not currently defined in the database.
However when you remove the outer wrap, the back cover has the same UPC code as the original entry (097361-376288), yet the front/back cover images are different than the original DVD Profiler entry.
The question here is should a new profile for this title be created using the New UPC Sticker and New Cover Images, or do I just keep this as a local entry to myself under the original UPC? Thanks for all advice and responses! |

| Posted: | | | | These are part of Paramounts 100th Anniversary celebration. Same thing as what Universal is doing.
Some of those have been added into the database.
A good idea is to link to the stores website in your contribution notes. I think Best Buy and Walmart are the stores that carry these Paramount 100th Ann. releases.
Release date and SRP should be listed on those sites.
You would use the UPC# that is on the sticker since that's how it is when you buy it in the store. |
