So far, I had zero problems with my 54kbits W-LAN until version 3.7.x

With upgrade to 3.8.0 it started, that the connection drops often, the online profile can not be downloaded and a batch update of all saved DVDs, only every second each is loaded.

The followed upgrade to vers 3.8.1 has unfortunately brought no improvement.

Right now I have everything ported to my laptop and go to the net via LAN which works. So mistake must must be from W-LAN.

Would be nice if someone had an idea ...

Thank you
Hardy

???
DVDProfiler is using the infrastructure only, it is (AFAIK) in no way taking control of your WiFi.

Several reasons are possible why your WLAN isn't working as it is supposed to, none of these has DVDProfiler involved.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

That's what I thought as well but it is not.

I will downgrade to vers. 3.7.x and try what happens...

Lan works, W-Lan don't. Then the obvious thing is to check the wireless setup in the router and see if there's something causing havoc. Usually it's some sort of firewall or QOS (quality of service) setting that will cause problems. As a test, if any of these is active in the router trying disabling them for a minute while you check to see if the online access changed.

if its stopped working with a change of version then I would guess its a firewall issue.

the firewall would have detected that the program has changed.

yes pauls42 is right, it was an issue of filter. In my router (fritz.box) I defined a parental control (Kindersicherung). so every URL is checked and this does not work with a fast batch update of the complete collection.
