Hey @all

I made some cover updates to the database and after they were released I tried to update my profiles.
The comparison screen shows me that there's a different between my local and the online cover (which is correct) ... I accept the changes.
After downloading the scaled covers, I go to the cover section of the profile, but nothing changed...
Made a second try to update the profile, but the comparison screen showed me no differences...
Made a third try to update the covers only...no changes...
Restarted DVD Profiler and tried to made the updates...no changes...
Made a database repair and tried to update...no changes...
I also tried to change the locks...without success...

The only way it works is to delete the local covers and start then start the update

Does anyone have the same problems?

How can you tell nothing changed?  Unless the changes were blatant it might be hard to determine if something was different looking at the "new" profile by itself.

The fact that subsequent updates find no different seem to indicate you did download the images.

Also, if you submitted the scans i would assume you have a higher resolution version of the submitted image locally.  Why not just keep that in your local DB?  You'll never match the on-line when you compare the profile but you have a better image.

When i submit i always make an image that fits the Invelos guidelines (max 200,000 bytes, 500x700 pixels, etc) but retain an uncompressed version of a minimum 1000x1400 pixels for local use.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

Thats really easy...I scan my covers with 600dpi and so they got a minimum size of 20 MB...
If you add a cover in this resolution you will only see a small excerpt of the cover in DVD Profiler. If you download a cover from the database, you can see the whole cover.
So I can easily check if its my original scan or a cover from the database.

If all my covers would have such a size my local database wouldn't be very performant. So I use the online covers.
Ultimately, this doesn't solve the problem...if you check the box to download the online cover it has to override the local one!

Yes, it happens infreqeuently. Not sure what causes it though. Sometimes it's just because I've forgot to unlock the images but sometimes the program just plain refuses to update the images no matter what I do.

I tried to figure out since when I have this problem.

The last correct update was Jun 26, 2012 > the original uncompressed covers were replaced by the compressed database covers
All later updates, my first one was Jun 29, 2012, got the same problem > the original uncompressed covers remains, although I said they should be replaced
