Hey guys,

Was just sorting out my collection the other day, and I want to reassign collection numbers as per below:

But when I do, it seems to always skip number 3, as per below:

I cleared all the filter settings, and it's definitely not in there.

Any thoughts?

Could it be that number 3 is in use for a child profile in a box set which has a higher number for the parent profile?

OMG! That is exactly it!

I didn't realise that it pulls out the child profiles and puts them in the list as a whole, and then assigns numbers.

Turns out #3 is 2001: A Space Odyssey in my Kubrick Collection way further down...

I don't remember it behaving like this in previous versions, does anyone know if this is something they changed? I did I just never notice it?

As far as I know, it has always done this.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Yep, nothing new here.

If you want to maintain a match between collection numbers and position in the alphabet, I would suggest to use the Sort Title field for child profiles where necessary. You could enter a title there which matches that of the parent profile. E.g. in a James Bond box set, you could set the Sort Title for Dr. No to James Bond 1 - etc. etc.
