running a format report

I have been trying to run a report by movie format, I have blue ray, dvd, avi and digital copies, can this be done?  Thanks

The field you are concerned with is "MediaType". You can add it to the columns viewed in the collection windows and thereby sort and select on it.

In reports, there is a "mediatype sample" report. The technique used there is to print different information based on the mediatype. The spot reserved for the text consists of overlapping boxes. The decision on what box to print is made in the "Condition" attribute on the left-hand side. You pick condition MediaType, and a comparison such as "contain", which determines which text block is displayed.
