I am using a layout (slightly modified form one on the site) that looks like this

I would really like to get TAGS showing some where on this layout.

1) is it possible to get tags to list in the 'Collection List' (very doubtful)
2) can it be added to the General Info area?  If so could someone step me through the process?

If not .. how can i show Tags without having to go into personalize for each profile?

Thanks
DSig

"Tags" have their own tab that you can add:

View -> Windows -> Set Tags
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

Thanks for that .. I was hoping for something a little less 'intrusive' but it will work.

Not inside, but adjacent to it should work.

Or there.

1) SAVE YOUR CURRENT LAYOUT!
2) View -> View All Panel Handles (to see how the windows relate to one another)
3) View -> Windows -> Set Tags or press Ctrl & T to show the Tag-window
4) click and keep the mouse-button pressed on the top of the Tag-window and start dragging it around.
5) when you drag it over the other windows you will start to see icons that show you whether it will be:
- added as a tab if you drag it almost to the top edge
- added left/right/top/bottom depending on to which edge you drag it.

It's quite tricky to find the exact position you want, especially if you want it bordering not one but multiple windows. If you screw it up, reload your layout (hence step 1) and try again. It took me 5 or 6 tries to get the Tag-Window into my version of the Showroom recently.

I think the answer to more than one of your posts has been HTML sections. That's what they were designed for - to allow you to augment the layout yourself. So no, you don't have to use it as is. <G>

But you will have to do some more study, read the Help text on HTML sections, look at one of the many examples in the Layouts Forum, and then try something. That's how I learned it. I tried to modify an existing one - taking small steps. We all ask questions and learn from each other when we hits snags after some due dilligence.
Thanks for your support.
