I don't know if this problem can be resolved at all, but I thought I might share it. If I put a DVD in my computer and then double click on a title in DVDProfiler, the program waits until the DVD is recognized before continuing. If the DVD is not readable or if I decide to eject the DVD before it has been recognized, DVDProfiler will freeze and I have to shut it down manually.
Recently bought films:

The Matrix [Blu-ray] | Shirins Wedding [DVD] | The Graduate [Blu-ray] | Prometheus [Blu-ray 3D] | Hwal [DVD]

Well you can deselect the "Insert notification" in the system settings. But then you will have to select the profile manually.

Or you can wait for a while and see if the system responds. By a while, I mean at least 5 or 6 minutes...usually it will release and act normally.

try to do a scan and defrag on your C: drive .. ( or whatever drive profiler is located) that may be the cure ......

I had a disc that would not read on the Profiler, it locked up the PC and I could not reject it  I had to turn power off on the OC and catch as power was coming up to get it out
I could get it out even with the little eject hole on the drive. It would not play on an external DVD player.
