Truly one of the great Si-fi writers of all time, I have most of his books. His body of work makes him immortal. Rest well Ray.

Yes, a big loss. Though he has written a lot of SF I think of him as more of a fantasy writer.

Not sure if anyone will beat the longevity record of Jack Williamson at 98 years though. He was there at the beginning of modern SF up to today (1908 - 2006).
