540 Million Dollar Lortery
How long woulkd it take you to spend if you won it, of coarse after taxes?
It would take the US government only 80 minutes,
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

If I won (and that won't happen since I don't buy tickets), my goal would be to never spend it.  I'd put it to work creating my allowance.

It would take me "forever."  Financial advisers who deal with people who have suddenly come into crazy amounts of money usually set up a plan. They will "give" the new millionaire a relative amount (say, $1,000,000 in this case) as fun money on whatever they think of. The point is to get the newness of "OMG! I'm rich!" out of the person's system and then working around being able to maintain and do good with the money left.  They then set up a fair allowance for them to live comfortably while having plenty to fall back on in case of certain disasters.

One thing shown over and over again by people who are in that sort of situation (athletes and lottery winners,) is that they go overboard thinking, I have enough money for everything! Here, best friend, take $500,000 and do whatever you want. Here, Dad, take this $3,000,000 and have fun..." and in two decades end up penniless again.

I would blow about 2 million and then go back to the life I currently have, letting the rest sit as needed.

I'd live off the interest. A $10,000,000 win even in these times generates at least $100,000 in interests a year on a simple savings account.

Even if I'd win only $1M, I'd rather only take the $10K and add it to my normal income rather than to spend the million.

I'd buy a large ranch in the Rockies, with my own personal ski resort next door.

I'd spend the whole money to buy vast deserted lands with a deep cave.

Then I'd give up all my worldly possessions, enter the cave to live there inside my mind. You know, like Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in Das Parfum - Die Geschichte eines Mörders.

There should be a prize for just picking horrid.

I haven't bothered with the lottery since 2001 and was reminded why last night. I bought 5 tickets, 2 my numbers, 3 easy picks. Out of 5 tickets, I didn't match one freaking number! That's over half of all the numbers in play and i couldn't get one.

So I think this board should do a pool next time there's a huge jackpot. I'll go buy my 5 and let everyone know what not to pick (cuz I've never matched even 1 number, ever!) and get them out the way so someone can get the right ones, hopefully all together.

I admit I can't win myself, now I'm asking for help.
