Just a fragment here. This is a comedy/parody movie, and the scene I remember is that for several frames, about a minute or something there are a twig in the frame, as in old movies. And at one point a person say: Hold on or wait, and remove the twig thats in the frame. That's sadly all I can remember...

You didn't think the first film was enough of a challenge, so you spring a more difficult one on us?

How old do you think the movie was? Last year? 10 year? 20?

Is the person looking at and touching the camera to remove the object or is it more of a stage-right hand-from-nowhere silhouette that plucks it from the other side of the screen, or something else? Man's voice or woman's voice? American accent? British?

(I'm just trying to drum up new ideas.)
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.

I'm guessing it's one of Mel Brooks' films. How many has he done now?

I'm more on the Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker line.
It definitely sounds like one of their "funny moments".

My first guess when I read your description was Top Secret, not sure why.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I just watched Top Secret and while I wasn't looking for this scene, I really don't remember it being there. There's a lot of parody in it, but none that really break the fourth wall.

Also in Woody Allen's "What's Up, Tiger Lily?"
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.
