| | Posted: | | | | Now that the BD / HD war is over, is there a standard case size that is being shipped today? Or is it still mix and match?
On another site it was noted that "11mm MeadWestvaco Vortex case was developed for the BD camp" and that "Sony and Disney were early supporters of the BD format, which is probably why they continue to use the Vortex case for their new releases."
I just measured a stack of six Blu-Ray cases for titles I purchased on Amazon, and the stack was about 74mm tall, or 12.33mm each ... consistent with 12.5 with some compression in the stack.
Most of the sellers of replacement cases are offering the 12mm (12.5mm) cases, and the artwork doesn't isn't always seemed trimmed the greatest.
Just to experiment, I've ordered some of each size, and I'd love to get feedback from users here or pointers to a thread where it has already been discussed to death. |

| | Posted: | | | | Yep, and in continental Europe, and AFAIK Asia as well, the slimmer cases are most common. The distinction corresponds with HD Keep Case (the wider cases) and HD Slim in DVD Profiler. |
