Hi everyone!

There is not too long ago that I started contributing to the part Canada (Quebec) because I thought there was a lot of profile missing. I admit that the contribution for the box set raised a whole challenges. I am now much more comfortable but in the beginning, it was more difficult. Box set The Lord of the Rings (LOTR):Extended Edition: UPC: 065935-847724 was in my first box set and I'm afraid to have created a confusion that I do not know how to adjust.

The explanation is simple. I'm reading the contributions rules several times (believe me!) but the approval of my contributions is never the same way! There are some times when the approval takes place in the second of my submission (where it is impossible that the person has had time to read the comments attached to my contribution and check web sites set references) and there are other times it takes days or even weeks ...

For the Box set of LOTR, I submit the box in the first place. Then I realized that I had submitted with the origin Canada while the origin was to be Canada (Quebec). Except that between the time I went to correct it in my database and I have resubmitted for approval, someone had already approved it! But I did not notice right away.

Then, I correct the 3 Blu-Ray attached to the box set for Canada (Québec) that, fortunately, I had not yet submitted, and submitted it. They have been approuved. After few days, I realise that the box set was still pending in my contribution setting with the mention Received. I waited a few days, then I submited again, explaining that approved the Blu-Ray without the box set was not very useful. Still no approval. Then I realise the problem.

I Submit my box again explaining what happen, that I think there was an error. No answer.

The problem is now that the 3 Blu-Ray are in the database, with a Blu-Ray disc number, floating and attached to nothing. They are useless. What I see in the database is my box set approved and release for the origin Canada, with no Blu-Ray attached to the box set, and my 3 Blu-Ray released with origin Canada (Québec) with a Blu-Ray disc # but attached to any box set!

People who want to add the box set will look with the UPC number for the box set because Blu-Ray do not have UPC. They will find a box set with the mention Canada but no Blu-Ray attached. But in fact, the Blu-Ray existed. However, for them to be attached to a box, it is necessary that the profile of my box Canada (Quebec) is approved but since it already seems to have been approved for Canada, I think that's where I have not received approval yet.

So what is the solution in that case? I ask it when I submit for the 4th time in my contribution message but nobody answer me.

I passed 4 hours to make this box set so in addition to not being able to add this box to users Canada (Quebec) who want to add it to their collection, I lose all the time that I have invested.

Is someone can explain to me what I can do to solve the problem? I would be very grateful!

Thanks!
Claudine

Have you tried a database repair?

Resubmit the box profile with the locality for Canada (Quebec) with the blu profiles attached to it in the box set.  Since you have not submitted the box profile for Canada (Quebec) it should be a new submission.  That should solve the problem for Canada (Quebec) locality.

Hope that helps!

I submited 4 time. You can see it in my contribution section. It have the statut: Received.

It's not a database problem.

Maybe my English is not good enough to make me understand. Sorry, normally I speak french so I have to translate everything.

If you go in the general database, you will find the box set I submited by mistake and have been approved with origin: Canada: UPC: 065935-847724.

You will also find the 3 Blu-Ray that have been approved with origin Canada (Québec)
Fellowship: 2626-650D-44B9
Two Towers: C4EE-8FEC-341B-AB0D
Return of the King: 6481-0A4A-C5C2-02F9

So, I cannot submitted again, the already have been approved. I can only submited the box set, what I did.

My explanation is this. The box set for LORD for origin Canada already exist before I submit mine by mistake. I know it because I use it as starting profile for my box set origin Canada (Québec). But this box set have not Blu-Ray connected to it. So, I decided to do better for the Canada (Québec) profile. But, after doing all the changes, I forgot to change the origin, and submit it. So instead of a new contribution, it has become the improvement of existing box set with the origin Canada. And It have been approved very fast.

In between, I realise my mistake, correct the origin, submit the box set with origin Canada (Québec) and submit the 3 Blu-Ray connected to the box set.

Because the Blu-Ray have origin Canada (Québec), the cannot be connected to the box set I submited by mistake with origin Canada. So if you look in the profile in the general database, you will not see Blu-Ray attached to the box set. Normal.

But because I have already submit the box set for contribution origin Canada, under my name and resubmited it again, the same box set, with the same information, no difference, for origin Canada (Québec), it cannot been approved. This would mean that I have submitted a double contribution for the same box set but with two different origins. But all contributions are under my name with the same information. As the first box set submit is the one with the origin Canada, I can't receive approval for the box set with Canada (Quebec).

This is my explanation.  If this is not the case then why is it still not been approved when it is obvious that without the box set, Blu-Ray with discs # , lonely in the database, are useless?

This is why I asking for your help to know how I can correct the situation.

But first, I must make things clear and understandable to you, which does not seem to be the case. I hope it's a bit clearer now.

Ohhh!!!! Don't now what happen but for sure, someone read this forum!

My box set have been approved, finally!

My image was declined but, if it's just that I can improve! But again, that's where I see all the confusion of the rules of contributions. These are the same images that were submitted for the box set for origin Canada and have been approved while for Canada (Quebec), they are declined ... Mystery ...

But it's a start! Thank you!
