I was wondering just how modular this application is? I work with large Oracle databases, and would love to be able to port the app to use Oracle Express (which is free) as it's datasource. IS there an data layer that could be replaced without major alterations to the higher levels?
This would enable me to really go to town with reports and smart filters |

But be aware that even plugin developers have limited access to the proprietary database, for obvious business reasons. This would enable me to really go to town with reports and smart filters You can use the export XML file to import the data into a database of your own (if you are a programmer). I did it with MS Access, also for the purpose of reports and such But you can't replace the database engine underneath DVDP, sorry. | | | Karsten
