Refresh Updated Profiles is Stuck

When I select the "Refresh Updated Profiles" button I get a pop up window that says this:

Scanning images...
(Green Bar)

Overall
(Green Bar)

The green bars seem to progress from left to right but the pop up window never closes and no progress is made so ultimatley a profile refresh never completes.

Has anyone ever encountered this before? If so how did you fix the problem?

Might want to try and run the Database Repair and see if that helps.
