Yeah, I pretty quickly figured out it was a format issue, but it seems odd that it happens even when selecting from the calendar.

I just took a stab at keying in the date in the reverse order, and that seems to work. When I tab to the next field the day and month switch (as before). I'm still a bit puzzled as to why this happens, but I've managed to work around the problem.

Yes that little trick is originally aimed at another bug, but the bugs may be related.

BulkEdit allows you to change things like Purchase Date en masse.

Only problem is, you want an algorithmic change. This can be accomplished with the Regex Find / Replace tool (Tool# 4 of Multi-Copy). This works on the column to which the currently selected cell belongs.

I coded the Regex tool, but I am not an expert on the syntax of actually using it.

If somebody can post the Regex syntax for reversing day/month, it should work if you want to try that method.

Maybe a combination of a fault on your computer and some sort of error in the programming. But without going really into the details of your system it is almost impossible to find the reason for this problem.

So probably the best solution:
- Make a complete backup (mirror-file) of your HDDs (just in case)

- Reinstall your OS (format your system drive before installation.

- If installing the OS from a Recovery DVD of your system manufacturer:
a) Temporarily set the locality of your system to USA
b) Restart the System
c) Set the system to the correct locality
d) Restart the system

Next install DVDProfiler (before installing any other software!)

Check if the error still occurs
If "No":
Continue with the configuration of your system

If "Yes":
Reinstall the mirror file you just created and come up again.

If Mithi's trick is solving the problem it's not a DVDProfiler but a M$ problem which affects other programs (e.g. Thunderbird's "Lightning") too.
The problem only seems to occur on pre-installed OEM versions of some manufacturers (Acer, HP, Compaq, ...)
