| Posted: | | | | I'm updating some DVDs including scans. On the submition page I like to compare the new scans to the old to make sure I think the new ones are better.
But, the last half a dozen or so there are no old scans on the submition page.
I happened to want to double check something so I went to the voting pages and up popped the old scans. I checked all the contributions and the same thing - the scans are on the voting page but not the contribution page.
I did a database repair but I'm doing another one now just to be sure.
Does anyone know why is this happening and how I can fix it? |

| Posted: | | | | This happened to me all week last week. Just thought it was a small problem on m y end because the scans were appearing in the way you suggest. |

| Posted: | | | | It's not just you. I just randomly pasted a picture in an existing profile and contributed it. And the left side remaind empty despite the profile already having cover scans. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Experienced this too. Thought it was a problem on my end. Obviously it's not. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I do like to double check that my scans are better. But, it is a pain in the butt to go through a bunch of extra steps to compare them.
It is annoying emough that I may submitting scans because it gets to be too time consuming. |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, I had looked at several profiles before I made the suggestion. I think the comparison utilizes some web browser functions, perhaps clearing the browser cache might help. | | | Registered: February 10, 2002 |

I don't know how to clear the browser cache - I don't even know what that means! This problem is fairly new and since it is happening to many others I wonder if Ken is working on something new for us. Maybe the ability no have multiple cover images. Or a new linking system? Or more... |

Don't know about Firefox, but it should be similar. FF: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Offline Storage -> Clear Now IE: Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Browsing History -> Delete -> Temporary Internet Files But don't think it's going to help since it's not a problem with her computer. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Happened to me as well, latest was yesterday. The odd thing is, when you go to the contribution notes of that profile and 'vote' on your own contribution, the existing scans show up. Oh well, I just contribute the new images anyway, because I know mine are better... |

| Posted: | | | | Still going on but now it's every time. I have to submit it and then go in (like I'm going to vote) to compare images. |
