The UPC is the same for each copy they make, even if the discID's are different. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

The first copy I got was defective and wouldn't play all the way through. I called and received a free replacement disc, without having to return the original. I think you may be off base with your accusation, he may be doing what I have done that being turning homemade videos (either tape or in my case a digital camcorder) into multiple copies for family and friends. Since you don't know laws and compensation methods of home copying in every country I would shut up if I were you. For example in Finland see more here. You can run it through Google translator. So if I have to pay to studios for every empty CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc, external hard drives, mp3 player etc. I wouldn't feel bad for taking copies for my friends. Not that I do it myself though. In my opinion that tax should be removed because now it's hurting people who doesn't copy anything and after that all copying should be forbidden. My point, if you don't know the whole story, keep your accusations on yourself. |
