Everytime I go to "Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos", the "Scanning Image" and "Overal" progress bars go to 100%, but then never complete and I am forced to hit the cancel button.

Any suggestions?

very first thing to try: repair database
Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Profile Database

Wow, that worked, thank you.

I never had any issues before so I never had to do that.

Awesome!

I'm having the same problem; it hangs at 100%.  I tried the repair and nothing.  Also tried reinstalling.  Any more ideas?  It's a pretty large collection (9400+ profiles) but I don't know if that's the issue.

EDIT: Never mind, ran repair 2nd time and it's working now.

I've had this problem once and no matter how many times I tried to run the Database Repair Utility, things didn't change - DVD Profiler always hung at the same spot during the profile data download (44% or something like that).

Turns out one can manually download the profile database which DVD Profiler will pick up at the next startup.  There's a Knowledgebase article titled "I'm unable to download the online profile list", which describes the (very simple) procedure for doing this.  I never saw the problem after doing that.

Of course, if Database Repair did the trick (and likely always a good thing to do first at the sign of trouble), there probably was something that needed to be fixed.
