| Posted: | | | | There's been a slew of contributions changing the scans for images changing it from the outer slip cover to the scan of the inner for the child profiles (and then unchecking the "Slip Cover" check box).
Is there something in the rules about this or had Ken made a ruling on the forum in the past? I'm sure the change is allowed but missed where it was said to be done. |

A TV Season where all disc's are in a single case with a slip
Several Movie box sets where all the movies are in a single case with a slip. | | | Last edited: by Scooter1836 |

| Posted: | | | | While it is true the slip cover scan shouldn't be checked for the child profiles... going by the pinned thread that Ken signed off on... but per rules (boxset rules) unless the films are individually packaged (multiple packages inside a slip case) you use the scan of the parent profile (slip cover). | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | How it's laid out (just to make it clear) in the new contributions:
Parent Profile (Scan of Slip Cover, Slip Cover checked in Case Type) |_Child Profiles (Scan of Inner Cover, unchecked Slip Cover in Case Type) |

The problem there is you uncheck that and it adds an extra Blu-ray banner on top of the scan of the slip cover. I know the rules were made in regards to DVD but IMO need to be adjusted in some way to account for Blu-rays. | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

(I don't have any Blu-ray) But it is what the rules tells us to do. So that is what must be followed for the online database. At least until Invelos tells us otherwise. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | As Pete said, it all depends on the number of inner cases.
If it's just one Amaray inside a slip case holding six discs of a season, you take the slip cover scan.
If it's 3 or 6 slim cases inside a slip case holding six discs of a season, you take the 3 or 6 slim cover scans.
In the first case I've never removed the slip case checkbox from the child profiles. The profiles basically inherit their entire case type and cover scan from the parent. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I don't know how the rule would be changed in this case...though I don't really think it needs to be as there is already a way to remove the Blu-ray banner on top of the slip cover.
