A few days ago I added "My Name is Earl: Die komplette Serie" (4010232054777) to my ordered list.

So far this item is not known in the online database. So I had to enter the title & locality in the "Add by UPC" screen.

I did not contribute it.

Today the item arrived.

I scanned the barcode and it told me it still doesn't know it. I had to enter title and locality all over again.

Only then it told me it had sucessfully moved the item from "Ordered" to "Owned".

If this title were to be known by the online DB it would have been moved from Ordered to Owned immediately.

As I said, just a small glitch, no 2012 level event.

Why didn't you just rightclick on the profile and moved it to "owned"?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I had forgotten that I had already entered it?

That's why I only create the profiles for my DVDs when I get them

Alternatively:

I pre-enter all DVDs I order to keep track, and when I arrive I know they must already be in the collection. Can't forget, because it becomes a standard procedure.

if you only do that then how can you check you have received all the dvds you ordered / keep track of what you actually paid without using the 'ordered' tab?

Me too. No built-in Ordered or Wish List category here, but I only have a small collection.
