I have a child profile that's part of a box set, but for the life of me I can't seem to find isolate the box set that it's a part of.  If I filter by title, I can identify the specific child profile, but I can't seem to identify it's associated box set.  If I uncheck the nest box sets, and sort by collection number I can find the child profile, but still I can't seem to find the associated parent profile. Is there a way to identify the associated parent profile when looking at the child profile (or through some other search or filtering mechanism)?

Thanks!

Orphaned Child Profile...that's a tough one. Especially difficult when the Parent Profile has an entirely different name. Have you tried to filter on Overview? Perhaps the Overview for the Child is included in the Overview of the Parent and you might get a match there? Other than that, I'm at a loss.

There's a link at Edit -> Box Set Contents: "Box set content of: ParentProfileTitle [ParentProfileUPC]".

I'm not quite sure I understand. If you have to unnest to see it, seems like it must still be associated with a parent?

If so, you can view the parent ProfileID with BulkEdit. Just check the Parent Profile column and load the suspect profile(s) by flagging them beforehand.

Apologies if I misunderstood the issue.

Oops, I see bbbbb has posted an easier way - I think. I tried it, but I didn't quite follow ... wouldn't you need to know the Parent Profile to do that?

Aha, I see, thanks Mithi! (I didn't see it at first because I was looking at profiles that were not actually children - doh!)
Thanks for your support.

Nope, bbbbb is spot on. You see that in the profile of the children, see the second picture in Unable to add certain profiles to a Box-set

Excellent!  Thanks so much for the quick and helpful replies.  Yes, it was assigned to a box set but I couldn't figure out which one.  Now that I've identified it, I know why.  The child profile was the correct title for the contents of the box set, but not the correct profile (this particular title was released multiple times- and should not have been a child profile for the box set at issue.  It was assigned incorrectly).

Thanks for the great tips! I never noticed that note created at the bottom of the box set contents window before, when a profile is part of a box set.  What a simple and easy fix.

You can also use the Database Query plug-in.  It would have done the same thing and look for any others in your collection at the same time.
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection.
