I've purchased the Green Lantern 3D Blu-ray. This release includes the 3D Theatrical Release on Blu-ray, The Extended Cut on Blu-ray, and the Theatrical Release on DVD on 3 separate discs. I know that Disc Level profiles are generally made and submitted for the DVDs in these sets, but my question is about whether a Disc Level profile should be submitted by DiscID for the Extended cut on Blu-ray or not? Thor is another recent release like this, but Thor didn't have a separate Disc Level profile submitted for the 2D Blu-ray, but it was also the same cut as the 3D.

So Should it be?
Parent Profile: 3D Blu-ray and 2D Extended Cut Blu-ray
|_ Child Profile: DVD copy

Or would it be ore like this?
Parent Profile: 3D Blu-ray
|_ Child Profile: 2D Extended Cut Blu-ray
|_ Child Profile: DVD copy

I believe this is the way to go. In fact, I think this was how Terminator Salvation which also had two cuts of the movie on separate discs. Ditto for Sucker Punch IIRC.

Edit: Just looked and TS didn't have a DVD/DC. But Sucker Punch did and it was laid out as such:

Parent Profile: BD R-Rated Cut
|_ Child Profile: BD Theatrical Cut
|_ Child Profile: DVD/Digital Copy

That's what I was thinking, and it makes logical sense, but you never know.

So a different cut of the same movie alone qualifies for a child profile too?

When it's on a separate disc, yes.
