This set, which I picked up at my shop, is in the database with no child profiles:

However, the set below has the individual movie discs in the database.  Does anyone know if the discs are the same?

I ask for I have no blu drive on my computer.

An educated guess would be yes. Judging by what the boxes say the specs are, these are more than likely the same movie discs from the Saga boxset. I can't say for sure, but history also says yes for similar situations, albiet with solo discs vs 2disc SE's or boxesets.

How do you check the DVD Profiler database for a profile for a DVD that is not in your collection?

Thanks

I'd go by title and then by educated guess as to the best matching one. Basically, go into profiler and add a dvd like you would by UPC, then choose the title option. If you go to your wish list before adding the dvd, this option automatically comes up as it assumes you don't know the UPC. Key things I look for are locality and how much information is in the profile for which one I chose. The more info, the more people have the disc and it's usually the more popular/available version.
