Hi,
all of a sudden DVD Profiler chrashes regulary. Crashing means freezing with no further reaction until the MS Pop Up to cancel the application pops up.
Easy to reproduce. When I start DVDP and type in "Los"... (Wanted to search for "Lost") it dies.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Fredl

What changes to your system did you do yesterday?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

If you don't try this you can start and end Profiler normally?
In that case I assume the program is OK, but the database is faulty.
Start Menue -> (Alle Programme) -> DVD Profiler -> Database Repair Utility and choose "full"

Thanks for the quick replies...

@Mithi I tried the full repair as well as DVDP suggests a repair after each crash. After some checks I have to state that DVDP crashes all the times after interaction via mouse or keyboard.

@Silence of the Lambs None to my best knowledge

Update: Starting with ALT and deactivating Plugins and Layouts is not helping either.

Strange.
If it worked yesterday and doesn't do it today, I'd expect some kind of change must have taken place.

Even stranger.
Check what happens if you temporarily disable you security software (Disconnect from the Internet first!).

Please open:
"Systemsteuerung -> Verwaltung -> Ereignisanzeige -> Windows Protokolle -> Anwendungen"
and check for "Warnings" or "Errors"

Prozess-ID: 1584
Startzeit: 01cc81c2460af723
Endzeit: 11
Anwendungspfad: C:\Program Files (x86)\DVD Profiler\dvdpro.exe
Berichts-ID: 90cc9b67-edb5-11e0-a503-001fd0ad57c4

DVDP deinstallieren
neu starten
DVDP installieren
DVDP einmal ohne Datenbank starten und sehen was passiert.
Wenn alles OK ist: DVDP beenden und den Datenbankordner wieder an seine ursprüngliche Stelle verschieben
DVDP starten und hoffen das alles klappt.

Hi, totally weird. It is working again!
I did not change anything and did not even reboot in the meantime.
@Silence of Lambs I'll give your recommendation a try next time.
Uff! Thanks for the support

Good to hear it turned out good.

You know today's systems have so many things going on "under the covers." A lot of applications, including Microsoft, security software, freeware and purchased applications, your browser, printer support, webcam software, mobile app sync software, the list goes on forever!!!!!!!

I feel like I have lost control of my systems. Some kind of thing is popping up all the time - Java update, Adobe update, McAffee, HP Printer, QuickTime, Firefox, AnyDVD, etc. I'm so sick of it!

Does this happen to you?

@mediadogg yupp. And I love it. What can be more satisfying than updating and having the system still running ?
@Smith  You mean sending the machine to hell? Can be the solution indeed...
