Tron is a proper name (noun) and used that way in the film so i'd say mixed case.
Looks like most (though not all) Profiler entries use mixed case as well. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

Looks like most (though not all) Profiler entries use mixed case as well. This is my thinking as well, but there are contributions up, for the Blu-ray versions, attempting to change the title to 'TRON' for each of the versions...3D, Legacy and Original. All the votes, so far, are 'yes'. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | There must be another discussion about capitalization, but forum search doesn't work (at least not for me). "Our" rules doesn't cover this subject either "Title: Check capitalization of the title", what ever that means I think that we should use Tron instead of TRON. Even that TRON is found in everywhere, cover, main credits, ... If TRON is officially accepted we will end up in a huge title change contributions. => How many movies have their original name in the opening credits (and cover) written in way that only first letter in capitalized instead of fully capitalized? There are some, I know, but most likely those are minority. |

(This may also mean he has a long-lost twin brother programme called TROFF (or Troff, of course. ) In which case it would be an acronym, not a proper name. Therefore it would be TRON (I like the idea of the long lost brother! ) | | | Chris | | | Last edited: by Mole |

| Posted: | | | | Didn't think that would help much. Don't the closing credits have the character names as Tron, Clu etc? (Not sure where my copy is to check at the moment..) Aaaarrgghh! The official site has it as TRON Legacy. http://www.disney.co.uk/tron/index.jspI'd go with the official site... | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

On the versions I have the titles are in all capitals. Mine too. So based on the permise that: The packaging says TRON the DVD label says TRON the film credits say TRON I'll accept Greyhulks statement that "it is short for TRace ON" Then my vote goes for TRON...... ....on the other hand, I admit that my local DB has oscillated (indeed, even vacillated) over the last couple of months between TRON & Tron | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | Sparta is considered to be a proper name in the English language, based upon translations from ancient Greek.....so it could be argued that it should be the title..... TRON is not a proper name.........maybe, perhaps However, that is as nothing.....yada yada yada....what does the DVD say? | | | Chris | | | Last edited: by Mole |

OK, that's a good point......I hadn't thought to look in the cast credits for the name of the film Hmmm, might have to vacillate a bit more | | | Chris |
