When I order a pre-release title, a title I know I'll buy come hell or high water, I create a manual profile to catalog and indicate that I have ordered that title and save the title's information: prices, order date, dealer, invoice number, etc. I usually add an images if available.

I also use manual profiles as place holder to bundle profiles together: James Bond, Dark Shadows, and Teaching Company lectures, etc. These are in use and their profiles exist.

Just by accident I happened to notice when my disc defrag utility was running a number of Manual Disc IDs flashing by, so I checked the db and flag image folders.

The Clean Images Directory Utility fails to remove the images of manually created profiles when the manual ID is changed to the actual UPC or Disc ID. I don't know if this is true for profiles copied and the UPC or disc ID is changed.

But I have about fifty images to titles that have been changed to rhe actual UPC or Disc ID, new images, actual cover scans, and these manual images are no longer in use, about 100 megabytes or so of storage. . These and their thumbnails are in both db and flag folders.  Now that isn't a big deal as I have a 1.5T byes of disc space and with nearly 17,000 profiles it's small potatoes.

This is just probably an oversight, but still an error.

I noticed that when you re-use a Manual ID, an old image may crop up (until you supply a new one). This behaviour disappears after a Clean Images Directory command.
It appears that images of Manual Disc IDs are removed by thet Utility. In your case, is it possible that a read-only setting prevents removal? Are your images in the standard directory assigned by Invelos, or did you assign your own directory?

Can't reproduce.
I created a test-db with some manual entries. After changing one to UPC the covers in 'Images' were renamed immediately, the according thumbnails in 'Images\thumbnails' stayed. After toggling the collection list to "thumbnails" a new pair of thumbnails was created with UPC, the manual stayed. But "Clean Images Directory" took care of those two. Same behavior for manual to DiscID

Could you elaborate that a bit? Maybe this way leads to disaster, although I can't imagine how.
