| | Posted: | | | | Went to see this today. Not a masterpiece like some ppl are claiming. Still a very solid effort that at times due to the large amount of characters, it feels a bit crowded. Essentially a story about how close friends and enemy's are, it's hard to tell the difference.
Definitely recommend going to a cinema to see this. |

I think I'll be going to see it next week. I can't comment on the original mini-series as i haven't seen it. The complexity of the plot was very well handled in the film i thought. It don't go full on with audience. Instead it opt's to plays it safe and delivers it manageable doses. Which is fair enough enough as it can be a gamble. But films such as Prince of The City show that it can be a stroke of genius pulling out all the punches. The again this is Sydney Lumet we are talking about. Who is about as close to god as you can get in film making terms. Sad he is dead now. Even sadder the news barely even gave him a worthy mention. But i digress. |

Right on, I just checked and I have 14 of his films all first class..
And also checking what I've missed, is available and placing my order. If you don't have The Offence get it. You won't regret it. May need to import it as i think the region 1 release is OOP. |
