I think you're right!

Also, I can see how some of those items might strike western people as weird, but rice in bulk and a large selection of chop sticks? You can find that in many a supermarkt in western countries nowadays. *shrugs*

We have Super H's Marts in my area, and they sell some crazy stuff.

Actually one of the things that strikes me is how much stuff is just kinda left open where anyone can ouch and handle raw food stuffs.

Eels, Frozen Squid/Octopuss, fish etc

I would have to say the pallet bin of rice is a new one to me, but then again I buy my rice in 10# bags

Not so sure about the ornage juice/drink and oil, but I am guessing its added for cooking meats and getting some citrius flavor or something.
