I am going to be here in the beautiful city for a few months, Are there any locals who can tell me the best shops to buy blu-rays and electronics here? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Keep in mind that DVDs have the region 2 and Blu-rays the region B.

Of course there are region-free DVDs, but it isn't obvious (you should download german DVDP profiles and check before you go into the store - use IMDb for title translation.

The biggest chain of what you'd call a Best Buy (or Buy More ) is Media Markt. They have five stores in the city, one of them is

The other one is Saturn, also with several shops in the city

They pretend to be competitors but in reality they belong to the same mother company.
