| Posted: | | | | I found a profile with (voice) added to some of the roles, and corrected that by using the checkbox.
However, when I try to upload the corrected profile, the system does not see a change and provides no checkbox for cast to be contributed. On the other hand, in Preview Changes, the corrections are visible and the online profile clearly has the wrong format. | | | Hans |

Could you publish the EAN in question so that I can take a look myself? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | This is about 886978270696 (Germany), where the cast data was allegedly copied from a BD release.
When I try to contribute the corrected voice box data, I can only check the box for crew (a slight spelling difference that I do not want to contribute) but not for cast. | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | Doesn't work for me, too. Bug! Edit: It seems since the last change, online doesn't recognize the difference between just a writing in the role and the checkbox. Just tested in different direction, with also no recognized change. (removed checkbox and added (voice) to role) | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |

| Posted: | | | | The strange thing is that the system does not notice the changes, and that implies at least two bugs.
1. I can imagine that the system does not detect a change where only boxes have been checked and nothing else.
2. The other change is that the roles have been changed also (removal of '(voice)' part), and such changes are normally always detected.
PS. This is not the only problem with contributions. I consistently find that the Release Date is not detected during contribution of in particularly new profiles, especially when the date is not a Tuesday(?). This may be related to formatting issues. PS. Another problem I currently have is that the system does not recognize the addition of box set information (child profiles) to an existing parent profile. | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | I could imagine it's because at contributing the cast/crew part (including the role name and also checkbox) will be transformed into just text, so there is no difference for the system. | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |

Bug!
Edit: It seems since the last change, online doesn't recognize the difference between just a writing in the role and the checkbox. Just tested in different direction, with also no recognized change. (removed checkbox and added (voice) to role) So it is considered a sort of parsing? I wonder what happens if I make a change to one of the roles to force an upload. Will the other changes then be accepted or ignored? I will test this (and later repair the purposely inserted error). edit: I used both (voice) in the role and the checkbox for one role, and this has now been contributed. It will take some time to see if the changes to the other roles are effective (if the contribution is not voted down because of the double 'voice'). | | | Hans | | | Last edited: by Staid S Barr |

| Posted: | | | | If you change something different within the cast section, all changes show up. So kind of weird. |

That does not necessarily mean that they will change the online. The changes already showed up in Preview Changes anyway. I have just started a test. edit: I just realized that even if the online is changed, that may not be downloadable to existing (wrong) local profiles, just like parsing information is no longer passed down... | | | Hans | | | Last edited: by Staid S Barr |
