I would but I believe my novice skills at contributing would be a let down to such a jem that I now have in my collection.....plus I don't know how to child profile movies that don't exist outside the box and without seperate case covers?!?! Well I thought I would at least put it out there and hope. |

| | Posted: | | | | This is just a suggestion, because I don't know the collection you refer to, but why not just upload a small update on the things you are confident with? There's no pressure on anyone to submit huge comprehensive updates - just do whatever you can. If you make an error, you can be sure someone will let you know (and most are perfectly polite in doing so too). And remember, some of the most accurate and comprehensive profiles in the database are actually the result of several people 'doing their bit' over a period of time. Some have the talent for excellent cover scans, others possess the patience to fill in the cast & crew. It's a bit like piecing together a jigsaw. Good luck.  |

As a work-around, I just added the individual releases of each title. Unfortunately, I don't have a BD-ROM so I can't verify the disc IDs, but I would not be surprised to find they're identical to those individual releases. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection

| | Posted: | | | | Ok so I did what was suggested and I put the discs in and used the Disc ID to get them on...some had the same IDs as single releases and others someone put in as foreign releases.... I added them as boxset contents of the Kubrick collection. I then scanned in the individual sleeve covers as front and back images.
NOW, my only concern is that if I contribute these they may show up and try to replace the individual releases and that would be wrong.... I don't know how to unassociate the discs from the UPC. I also am not sure if these would just show up as child profiles for the main boxset. I can obviously keep it for me but would like to get it out for others, but like I said I'm not a pro and unsure if it will harm other profiles??? Any suggestions for this? |

Unfortunately since you can't use a UPC or the disc IDs... they have to be local only.

No. It is common for multiple profiles to share the same disc IDs without affecting each other, it's just another piece of data. The only way your submission could affect another profile is if one has already been contributed using the disc ID as the identifier rather than the UPC and within the same locality. But in that case you will notice it when contributing since it will show up as a change rather than a new submission. So there are actually two different and unrelated uses for disc IDs: 1. As a piece of data within the profile telling which disc(s) belong to it. 2.
