| Posted: | | | | Ok picked up a Dragnet box set that got 4 dvd's in 2 snappers that have covers and unique upc's
Via disc id, one came up 096009068493
Now this has the first 7 eps of set 1, but doesn't have the 2nd disc from that snapper.
I am in the process of entering the Box set profile and will need to add the 2nd snapper box to the set.
While the 1 disc profile exist do I edit that to add the 2nd ? or do I use the UPS thats on the snapper cover and create a new profile for that as well ?

| Posted: | | | | The rules on TV Series says that if you make child profiles for TV Series sets... they are per disc. You would enter the 2nd disc as it's own profile.. not add it to the first disc profile. | | | Pete |

A profile for each UPC should also be created and both disc profiles added to that profile. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. After you have contributed it so you can e.g. locally toss the Snappers and gather the 4 Children-Profile directly under the box (I would maybe do that) As long as the 4 Disc IDs aren't used yet[1] Dragnet Boxset (by UPC) |-Snapper 1 (by UPC) | |-Disc 1 (by DiscID) | |-Disc 2 (by DiscID) |-Snapper 2 (by UPC) |-Disc 3 (by DiscID) |-Disc 4 (by DiscID) looks like the perfectly legitimate way to submit them from what I could gather. cya, Mithi PS As always: one has to strictly differentiate between the DiscID that simply is in the Discs-Section of a profile and the one that is in lieu of an UPC. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki | | | Last edited: by Mithi |

| Posted: | | | | Mainly because I get 1 day off a week.
I spent almost 3 hours this morning on doing Cast and cew for 2 discs, scanning and editing covers etc.
Building 7 new profiles is a royal pita, and god for bid you not get it 100% correct by the rules.
( Btw this is not aimed at any one person, I have been rather frustrated with profile submissions for a while )

| Posted: | | | | Well, not sure if it helps, but only profiles 1, 2 & 5 are required...the rest are optional. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Might not be any consolation, but first do this for yourself, contributing online is secondary and no approval is needed for your satisfaction. If someone points out mistakes, make them and resubmit until it's right. The resubmissions don't take very long at all. Copy your previous notes making any corrections to them and preceed them with a note about what you corrected. In the end if you think your submission stands on it own despite any no votes, let the screeners decide. If it is declined, so what, at least you have your profile the way you want it. Lock it down and move on to the next one. Just my 2 pennies. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
