Proof I'm buying to many DVDs.

Amazon to open 4th distribution center in Arizona

Amazon to expand in Phoenix

Governor Brewer says federal gov't may deal with online tax

May be I should apply for a job.
Average salary $15.00/hour, let's see two or three hours less tax I could buy a TV series DVD to to complete a series.

The online sales tax was signed into law a little over a week ago here in California by our illustrious Governor Gerry "Moonbeam" Brown. It went into effect on July 1st. Amazon.com is fighting the law citing it as unconstitutional and counterproductive. So far they haven't started collecting the tax here in California.

That's because they don't have to.  Since they are only required to collect sales tax if they have 'affiliates' in the state, they simply cut ties with the 25,000 affiliates they had in California.

Since everybody knew Amazon would do this, California joins Illinois, Colorado, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Arkansas in knowingly forcing job and income loss, while generating no new tax revinue.
