| Posted: | | | | Hello.
I presently have a contribution up for consideration that includes a few changes to some of the Roles. Keeping Mum (5-017239-193897).
One of the changes involves changing:
Maggie Smith as Grace Hawkins to Maggie Smith as 'Grace Hawkins'.
The latter exactly reflects what’s given in the end credits as part of the main credit list. (None of the other Roles have this inverted comma distinction, but they do make sense in terms of the character played in the film.)
Someone voting has suggested that we don’t put quotes around complete names or titles. I can’t find anything in the Rules to suggest this and I’ve had a look around the forums but can’t find any specific reference to it here either. Before I go ahead and change anything, can anyone suggest where this might have been discussed previously?

Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |

| Posted: | | | | As far as I'm concerned: if a role description is in the credits that way, that is how it should be entered in DVDProfiler. The only exceptions mentioned in the rules are where there are no role description or if the actor / actress is credited as himself / herself or a variation. |

I think that clarifies how the roles should be listed. Exactly as they are in the credits. |

I think that clarifies how the roles should be listed. Exactly as they are in the credits. Indeed. The rules, in this case, are quite clear. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Agreed also. If they're credited with the quotes in the film credits, that's definitely how they should be credited here in Profiler. | | | Corey |

Please provide a screen cap. This wasn't really what I was asking about, but as a very special treat because it was you, here's you go: Credits CaptureBut please tell me, this is a joke question right? Even before the database gets hold of what it's sent, there aren't a lot of keyboard choices regarding the shape of the symbols. The specific shapes are otherwise font related and that sort of information appears to get stripped out as soon as you enter it. | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it?
