| Posted: | | | | Anyone planning to pick this up? Because we have a problem. It came in, so I picked it up yesterday at my shop. The UPC is 012236114055. Which brings up a profile for a DVD release of Stir of Echoes. I'm hoping someone with a blu-ray drive is planning to pick this up, since I think it will have to be entered by disc ID. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | And it looks like the reason is because the Stir of Echoes: Special Edition BR was Discontinued by Artisian.
Did Artisian become Lionsgate? If so then that's likely why they have the same UPC#.

Eric | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

| Posted: | | | | I bought it, but I had put it in under the UPC (removing the Stir of Echoes data locally). I can submit it with the disc ID. |

I've heard of re-issue useing the same UPC, like Columbia/Sony swapping out WS/FS 2 siders for FS only 1 sides, but taking a used UPC for a new release just feels cheap and wrong. Guess I should get that Stir of Echoes BD while I can, thankfully I see it at almost every used store within a 50 mile radius. EDIT: So it was the old dvd of Stir of Echoes that has the UPC. Seems like some numbers somewhere should be changed to represent the different format. At least that dvd has been OOP for years, replaced with a better dvd and then a blu-ray. Is the Stir of echoes BD really discontinued as well? If not I'll wait for the $4-5 price range, if so then $8 sounds fine. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |
