| Posted: | | | | Just bought this at Big Lots for $5, surprisingly little information about this release on the internet. I took as much information as I could from the DVD box itself, scanned the actual discs, Production Year/Release Date from Amazon (who has an image of Casino Royale attached to this release), contributed what I could. Don't know what to do about the cover scans, I really don't want to tear this box down and glue/tape it back together to get the scans, I left the plastic on it and just cut around the opening at the top. Hope someone else with more daring than I have will buy this at Big Lots and dare to get scans... -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) | | | Last edited: by kd5 |

| Posted: | | | | Just so you know, this is actually the 2-Disc Unrated Special Edition DVD w/ slipcover, inside a box (along with the Production Notes Booklet) with artwork on the box similar to the DVD/Slipcover, only at the silver bar at the top it says: Hancock: 2-Disc Unrated Special Edition With Bonus Production Notes Booklet. -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. | Posted: | | | | OK, now it wasn't from Best Buy, they had an exclusive Steelbook. Target has Pop Up packaging & Lithograph Circuit City has a Bonus DVD
And the following link doesn't list any other US retailer with an exclusive. So could it be Canadian?

I already have Hancock on DVD, besides Big Lots near me is very slow about getting new stock. | | | Last edited: by CubbyUps |

| Posted: | | | | I don't see any reference to Canada on the back of this box, I see 'Printed In USA' on the back (if that means anything). Here is the Amazon link for it (keep in mind some nitwit attached an image for Casino Royale to this DVD): Hancock 2-Disc Unrated Special Edition with BookletThis has the Widescreen Theatrical and Unrated Versions + Digital Copy (more than likely expired but that doesn't matter to me) + the Bonus Production Notes Booklet, all in a neat box about 7/8" thick (opens at top and bottom) UPC# 0 43396 28866 9 -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. | Posted: | | | | Link is dead now. Anyone looking for the Circuit City 3 disc version though? I just upgraded to blu so I'll sell it for a song and a couple bucks. In perefct shape, watched once, still has shrinkwrap over most of cover (just slit open the top to get inside, leaving the wrap to keep slipcover from getting scuffed or dinged). Seriously, I'm thinking like $5 shipped (in US). |

| Posted: | | | | Never knew it could be so hard to find cover images for this DVD. Been to FreeCovers.net (they have probably close to 50 images for Hancock, but not one for this set). Google revealed a few other places that were mostly lame, don't know anywhere else to look and I am loathe to remove the plastic and tear this DVD boxset down just to get cover scans. If no one else buys this DVD from BigLots and/or is adventurous enough to tear it all down for scans, I suspect this DVD will have to remain coverless.
Thanks anyway, -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) | | | Last edited: by kd5 |

| Posted: | | | | If you can find the scans here, I have a bunch of credits from old scans, can and will get them for you. Link should lead to a Hancock search, but search again just in case. I just looked and don't think they're there though. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

| Posted: | | | | Found something, although these would make me want to fire my scanner up personally: http://www.inetvideo.com/Items/N01-0143829 Back isn't so bad except for the watermarks. Found a much better front scan on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Hancock-2-Disc-Unrated-Special-Edition-DVD-Booklet-/280650343081 Another thing I just noticed, you said you left the plastic on and just cut a hole in it? I guess this means the shrinkwrap, and if so, you can carefully slip those off, scan the covers, then carerfully slip them back on. I've done it dozens of times as I also leave shrinkwrap over my cardbaord covers when possible to keep them from getting scuffed or damaged. Patience, study hand, minor knowing of pyschics and those slide right back on. Just get a corner started, then a side, and the rest will fall in. For the first 5 years I was heer I wouldn't take these off either, but finally couldn't stand some ugly scans so I tried. In related news, I also just learned how to take a flipper case apart without destroying it! Too bad I scanned dozens before getting the nerve (and the unwanted dvd) to try. |
