Episode numbers in Disc ID description (TV-series) |

| | Posted: | | | | Currently I'm reviewing a number of TV-series box sets.
If Disc IDs are present for the box sets they are entered with episode numbers 1-3, 4-7, etc.
The numbering on the packaging is numbers 40-42, 43-46, etc., in other words the numbering is done over all series instead of per series.
The numbering in the menu of the disc I'm currently reviewing has the numbering per series.
So now I'm wondering which episode numbers to use in the Disc ID descriptions. |

I'm talking about 10 box sets, 1 for each series (or season) of the same TV-series.
For the box sets where disc IDs are entered they are all entered as:
Episodes 1-3
Episodes 4-7
etc. |

I don't suppose it matters which method you use then as long as it remains consistent over the whole series. The point is to identify the disc within the set, so any unique numbering system should be equally valid but if it makes it easier to pick the right disc from looking at the episode list on the packaging, I'd probably go with that. | | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Just thought I would ask the question here to see if others agree, or have a different opinion. |
