| Posted: | | | | I found if you type in an exclaimation mark .. re: ! It will only register a period..
I was trying to type in Airplane! in the notes section for voting and everytime the ! changed to a period . or just plain Airplane. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | While I didn't realize this happened in the Contribution notes... I know that it is the same way in the voting notes. It has been that way for quite a long time. I believe this is by design. I think it had something to do with complaints about people being a bit rude in the vote (and apparently contribution) notes. And changing an exclamation point to a period softens the blow some... like...
Cast is correct as is!
compared to
Cast is correct as is.
Looking at both versions... the one with the period is less likely to cause bad feelings for some people.
Same thing with contribution notes...
User Name's No Vote is incorrect!

User Name's No Vote is incorrect.
I can't find mention of this now... but I could have sworn I read it somewhere on the site here. While it is a shame it was felt necessary to do... it makes sense to try to keep some peace. | | | Pete |

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once.
