| | Posted: | | | | I personally like the ability to use the watched by per disc. As I usually watch a disc and then put the set up a while. This way when I go back to the set I know exactly where I left of by what disc has a watched date. I also like having... as you said... the ability to know what extras are on which disc. Then I like having the overviews with the episode plots. The cast and crew in easier manageable groups is also a big plus for me. I also use a what you bought system... as the only thing that gets numbered is the actual item I bought. So I only number the parent profile. But all that is neither here nor there. You found you are happier with just the main (parent) profile I am happy for you! Everyone has their favorite ways of doing it!  | | | | Pete |

So now i have a list on the parents comments section which discs i haven't watched yet. The big credits lists is still something I'm pondering on. One season is not a big deal, but e.g. my Farscape set has all 4 season on single discs (...and not seasons, as in e.g. the Stargate SG-1 set), so thats one set I've still kept the child profiles in. |

For live action TV shows loike Tales from the Cyrpt, I like having the child profiles all filled in.
For animated stuff like Simpsons or South Park, I prefer just parents with the cast and crew list attached.

It takes way too long to fire up my computer and start Profiler each time I've watched a TV episode... | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users.

| | Posted: | | | | I use the collection number for what I bought. If it has one, I paid $$$ for it. Otherwise, it's a child of something I did pay $$$ for.
My high collection number is 778 so I know I purchased 778 items. Profile count is over 500 higher. I also order my collection numbers based on purchase date so they're in the order I bought them. | | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |
