Thanks to surfeur51 and all the other people from the images from movies topic the gallery became one of my favourite features of the Profiler.

But most of the time the first image is skipped if the gallery starts over after the last image. That last image is shown longer than it should be and then the second image is displayed. This doesnt happen if there are only two images but if there are more pictures it happens around 80% of the time.

The only thing I can guess is that it has something to do with the file or folder names. At least I had another strange problem a few weeks ago. The profiler wasn't able to find my command.txt files if there were any spaces in the 'path' to the file. But afaik it's impossible to change the path to the gallery folders to see if that would fix the problem.

update:

I found out that it is possible to edit the path to the gallerys folders (and all other paths, too). But changing DVD Profiler -> DVDProfiler didn't help with this Problem.

It seems to work better if the amount of JPGs is an equal number (2, 4, and so on) but I'm not sure yet if it completly fixes the problem.

I never noticed the problem that you have. But in fact all my movies have exactly 10 images, so your explanation may be right.

I've been editing the post again while you were answering. It happened with equal numbers, too.

Update: I've been searching the web for similar problems with other software and all I could find is the same bug reported by some people ages ago for the Image Viewer Feature of Dreamweaver. That's a HTML Editor and the Image Viewer seems to do exactly what the gallery does in DVD Profiler.

I can hardly program my VCR so I might be completly wrong but it it possible that the Gallery is nothing but an HTML window and was created by using an old Dreamweaver Version? If so, there probably is nothing I can do about it?! What isn't that bad, at least I could stop worrying about my systems 'health'
