On DVD Profiler I have gone to Tools>Options>Sharing/ Grant Access To > Any computer ... and then TEST
There is gives an IP Address but says "

Unable to connect.

Your collection is not accessible from the Internet.

Please check the configuration of your local firewall and/or router and try again."

Can someone help me with what I need to do??

Please help me!
Thank you!
John

Insufficient data:

Required information:
Are the two computers in the same subnet?
If not: Do you know the public IP-adress of the host? (This is not the one starting 192.168.xxx.xxx)
If not: Does the Host connect to the Internet via static or dynamic IP?
If "dynamic": Does either your PC (or even better your router) have a dynamic domain adress (e.g.: yourname.dyndns.org)?

More questions may arise depending on the given answers.
The answers will require a basic understanding of IP-adresses, subnets, routing, port-forwarding.

In General it should help to open the TCP-port 32847 (default by DVDProfiler) on your local firewall, or if you are using a router to forward the TCP-port 32847 traffic directly to your local machine.
For a specific HowTo please read the manuals of firewall and/or router
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I am not sure of all these but here is what I found in the connection:
Network Connection Details:
Physical Address: 00-0C-29-F0-36-5D
IP Address: 10.0.0.17
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 10.0.0.1
DHCP Server: 10.0.0.1
Lease Obtained: 3/14/2011 5:13:23 PM
Lease Expires: 3/15/2011 5:13:23 PM
DNS Server: 10.0.0.1
WINS Server:

That is the connection of the computer to the router.
Again please help!
Thank you,
John

Open the configuration tool of your router.
To do this you usually only have to enter the IP-adress of the router into your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer). In your case the IP would be 10.0.0.1
Depending on your router a username and a password may be required to proceed. If you never set one check the manual of your router for the default values.

After getting through this hurdle check for LAN-settings especiially "Port Forwarding" or "NAT".
Here you should be able to forward the traffic of a single port (TCP 32847) to a local IP (in your case 10.0.0.17) or MAC (physical)-adress (in your case "00-0C-29-F0-36-5D", this usually has to be entered without hyphens).

Save the settings and retry.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
