Is there a difference in including the DVD as a child when the DVD is on second side of bluray disc or on a separate disc?

No difference.

You have one with the DVD on the back of the Blu...? I thought that wasn't possible (yet)?

I've been seeing lots of these lately from stuff I've picked up at the library. Can't recall the titles as they were for the lady not me.

My RED is the same way.  I hated these with HD DVD and DVD and it looks like now we're going to have to deal with it on BD as well.

To answer the original question most HD-DVD/DVD combos i own have a single profile with the high def side primary and the DVD side as the flip side.  Features are rolled up for both sides.

Only one of the profiles has a child for the DVD.  The child profile is optional.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!
