| Posted: | | | | I tried to put in a UPC for a pre-release title and I got this message:
"The entered UPC does not seem to be valid" Do you want to continue?
Then when I try to contribute it I get this message:
"Unable to contribute this profile" DVD Profiler is unable to validate the UPC. Please verify the UPC and ensure that you have entered the entire code.
Has anyone else come across this? |

I wonder how does the program know what is a legit UPC and not. |

| Posted: | | | | Ages ago... But how about selecting the option not to connect to the invelos DB and enter the title manually – if you are positive about the UPC? When I enter for example upcoming titles, I generally google first to find the specific UPC and then google the UPC itself to verify from as many sources as possible so that the UPC is genuine. I found the site dealoz.com, for example, to be a good source. |

I am perhaps almost as happy as you are for being able to contribute the new title as I am for being able to ("for once") help someone out! I mean, I don't consider myself unintelligent, but mostly either my ideas are just shunned or they are off base and irrelevant. LoL... |

| Posted: | | | | I've come across these very rarely, turned out to be a misprint on the barcode - do you have a barcode scanner to see if it produces a different number? |
