| Posted: | | | | Hello
I have a DVD film of 87 minutes with a description on the backcover. On the same disc is what they write a Bonusfilm of 16 minutes. This is a full shortfilm. There is also on the backcover a short description (about 4 lines) for this film. I did put mainfilm description and under that Bonusfilm xyz and the description for it from the Backcover. It has not passed yet as the seven days are not over, but I got 1 no-vote, description of Bonusfilms in Overview not allowed. Seems to be the rule, but I find we collect data to find something when we search and if there is on the backcover a real full description of this Bonusfilm, why not put it in the Overview with this description? Only in Extras the name would be ok I think. Is it really forbidden to but such a description in the Overview? It makes just our database more complete I find? For sure I can have it localy, but I find the more contributed the more everybody can profit and find it.
Thanks,

| Posted: | | | | Hi Addicted2DVD Quoting Addicted2DVD: Quote: info on extras (bonus features) are not allowed in the overview. I would definitely vote no to it as well. OK, but it is not called a Bonus Extra, it is called a Bonus Film. We nearly could say it's a DVD with two films, a long one and another shorter. A DVD with two films could have for both the description, here not because they call it Bonus Film? For Extras you normally have not a full description on the backcover as it is here the case and this is information about this second free film you get buying this DVD. That's I ask me why we should hide this information for all users. Not everybody checks the backcover of his DVD if everything is on it and types it manually into it locally. | Posted: | | | | OK, just got a DECLINED now as you told :-). What me nerves is, typo failure in the title of this film in question, currency Norway also German Release and EURO, no studios, NTSC also it is PAL, everything is wrong in the database and I get a declined just of this description. I can now give up and all the wrong data keeps again for 2 years in the database and keep my proper thing locally and everybody adding this DVD will have all the wrong data, even no despription. That is a bit sad just because of this. Better a lot of wrong data in the database than a good description also from a bonusfilm.

| Posted: | | | | A Bonus short film is still a BONUS... and per Rules that info is not allowed in the overview. You prefer it in the overview... that is fine... so what is wrong with keeping it the way you want it in your local... and only contribute what follows the rules? You know you don't have to update the overview. Just update the other fields. Why do you think everyone else must have the overview the way you prefer it... even if it is against the rules? Sorry but in my eyes yes your contribution should have been declined. | | | Pete |
