On Feb. 13th I submitted a contribution, including cover scans, for "Battle Royale". Today I see it was declined but I never received a notice about this nor can I find any reason for it being declined. All information came from the actual DVD that I own. Welcome any reasons why the contribution was declined.

During the evaluation process you can watch the incoming votes on your contribution.

Check here: http://www.invelos.com/MyProfiler.aspx?display=contributions
Just click on the "Yes -No"-field and you can see the votes on the specific contribution.

The votes from the users usually give the reasons for a decline (or an acception).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Click on database and then on my contributions to check the reason.

Did mention in your contribution notes where all the information came from?

You don't get notices for declines. And they only have a list of basic reasons to put with their no votes (there is just to many contributions to do it any other way).

As the others said check your no votes (if there was any)... voters have to give a reason for no votes.

There could be many reasons for the profile not to be accepted... maybe not documenting uncredited cast... or what have you. No votes will give you a good idea.

The thing to remember for cover scans is it is very subjective. What looks good to one person may not look at all better to the next.

Some of the usual decline reasons for Cover Art are...

- Re-release Cover (only original release info is allowed in the online database... all other is to be kept local only)
- Wrong UPC/EAN for the profile you are submitting to
- Not a big enough improvement over current scans

To help get scans approved it is a good idea to put in your notes exactly how/why you feel your scans are better (i.e. better colors, clearer image, better skin tones etc.)

First, welcome to the forum!

Which release of Battle Royale do you have?  Your flag is USA and there is no R1 release of the film.

There are quite a few bootlegs (I have 2 of those, darn it), so are you certain you have a legitimate release?

Sounds like what it most likely was if the OP was trying to make a US R1 profile for the movie.
