| Posted: | | | | Since, Yves thinks that not enough people have access to the rules forum, let's get a general idea of what people want here.......

It is usually granted within 48 Hrs. One really shouldn't mix up "Have no access" (means: are not allowed) with "Do not access" (means: Don't really care). | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I agree... if they had any interest in helping to form the rules they would be able to join. I do not believe this is the place for discussing a rules change. But for the poll... I had to vote to keep the rules as is. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Not that it makes any difference. Yves won't get it, he never has, he will simply continue his whine at the next opportunity. I do wish that he woukld move onto topics which are more productive of his and everyone else's time, instead of the same old rants. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Not to make a too fine point of it, but at this moment we have: Viewers: 234 Voters: 57 (49 : 8) So the vast majority says: "I don't care either way". Probably the same that don't access, err sorry, don't have access to the "Contribution Rules"-forum. (Just kidding, of course) | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! We are interested in data not the truth as stated by the all knowing, all-seeing Yves.Yes, my friend, I am being a tad sarcastic, but you simply don't understand the dfference between data as it actually appears and user interpreted data and that interpretation may not be correct for a whole host of reasons. It is called DATA entry for a reason. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | @YVES...you don't understand the concept of DATA and never will. The Overview Rule was established to prevent the ping-ponging of contributions between users who were correcting spelling errors on the Overviews and users who entered the DATA as DATA...period. It finally put an end to the ping-pong wars. The rule is what the rule is. Get over it and move on . . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Say, can anybody actually search against the Overview? I'm in the middle of a monster HSDB merge and can't check. If no, then why not let our internal spell correction take over? I probably never would have caught "Bruce Wallis" because my mind would have corrected it to "Willis" without informing me.
Now, I'll probably see Bruce Wallis everywhere. |
