Is these site for stupid people??
I am sorry to say. That those who check your constrbutions must be wery stupid. So i will NOT use any time to make DVD profile better. I have about 200 titel that are not on Profiler. And i get 5-10 every week. But i dont think i can take this stupid crap. |

And even I can find it on DVD profiler when you seach. ANd for what use. You dont need the old version for anything. Why do you need the Norwegian version when i am making a Danish? |

| Posted: | | | | They are asking for it... that is all that really matters. If you are refusing to give it to them then in my opinion your contributions need to be declined.
Why they need it? Don't really matter... as long as they are requesting it we need to put it in our notes. But... maybe so they can look at that profile and check notes for stuff like documentation for any uncredited cast there may be. That would be one such reason right there. | | | Pete |

When i overwritten the EAN whit my new EAN code, i dont have the old one anymore. Simply take note of the EAN BEFORE you change it. That is what I do. It is no trouble and it is what they request to approve the contribution. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | In those cases I write as contribution note:
DVD or Blu-ray cloned from EAN 1-111111-111111. Changed currency, country, overview and what else I did change as from my film, coverscans taken from my own filmcovers.
With this it is pretty simple to get an approve.

| Posted: | | | | It sounds like cast/crew is what is preventing some of your contributions to be approved.
Like others said all you have to do is state in your notes that the data is copied from UPC# whatever or Disc ID#.
However, you can always just not include the cast/crew in your contribution and just note that either the data comes from the case and DVD or that you copied the data from an existing profile and give the specific UPC# or Disc ID it was copied from.
Getting contributions approved without cast/crew is usually a lot easier especially if all you want is is to get the profile into the main database.
You can always keep the cast/crew for yourself locally and not contribute them at all if you so wish. |

| Posted: | | | | You should include the UPC or EAN from the disc that you got the data from. Or at least identify it in some meaningful way. On one of your other rejections, you quoted your source as basically the cover but yet you listed full cast and crew. You need to be very specific on your sources, especially cast and crew. If you do that, you should be fine.

| Posted: | | | | One thing I might have missed in the posts, but important to say: If you change the EAN/UPC and/or the locoality, the online database treats the contribution as a new entry. There's no reference to the profile you copied from. That's the reason why sou have to call this in the contribution notes.
Btw, I prefer more the method to make a new entry in my database and then copy manually (DVD -> copy, DVD -> paste) the thingx I want to have. So I have still the reference at contributing. (After contributing I delete the old one.) | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |

But doh. :D Rather than insulting the screeners, you should help them. They have a lot of contributions to go through, and can't spend a lot of time on each individual one. Please note that Invelos is a very small company. As for EAN and UPC, they are the same thing by a different name. You get that when using American products, including software. | | | Hans |
