| Posted: | | | | I came across this designation "Supervising Sound Mixer" and wondered if it would be allowed under the current rules. |

| Posted: | | | | Yes. It would fall under the following rule. Quote: Do include "Supervising" credits in the above categories, examples: "Supervising Art Director", "Makeup Supervisor", except where explicity forbidden above. |

| Posted: | | | | Be careful. Depending on where the credit is, will determine what the credit is.
If it falls within the post production sound credits, more than likely it is a re-recording mixer.
Otherwise, it probably will be production Sound

If it falls within the post production sound credits, more than likely it is a re-recording mixer. Indeed, I daresay that 99% of all "Supervising Sound Mixer" credits are re-recording mixers. And yes, they should be entered. |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to bump this thread, but I've come across this while auditing a profile. Now, is this allowed even though it's not in the rules? I wanted to know before I submitted this. Also, there is no Re-Recording Mixer (just a Re-Recordist listed later in the credits, but doing research, have read that isn't allowed).
Edit: I should clarify by saying allowed to be credited as a Re-Recording Mixer. I should also note there is a Production Sound Mixer (as "Sound Mixer") already credited outside of the sound credits.
Edit 2: To be even more concise, if it is allowed, what should I put in the notes? | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

Yes, that "Supervising Sound Mixer" goes under our "Sound Re-Recording Mixer" credit. And being a perfectly normal and perfectly valid credit, that doesn't warrant any special attention in your notes, as far as I'm concerned. | | | Last edited: by T!M |
